Well this is Awkward.

In practically every post I have to apologise for how sporadic (clueless!) my posts are so I am just going to stop. I may make a page making an official apology.

So, school has been crazy! I literally have 2 weeks of proper school left and then we go into this completely stupid study/school time thing. That is totally stupid but I know I will need it because I am so bad at doing revision!

I have also been to a couple of friends birthday parties. One was a dinner party and the other was just a cute, pink, Hello Kitty party.

Taken By a friend on her (new) Nikon Coolpix L810 Digital Camera (in red)

This is picture from the Dinner party. It was totally rad! We had some delish food (WE HAD BACON!) and the we had an awesome dance party afterwards and listened to some cheesy dance music and that was where this picture was taken. Amidst all the euphoria :)

In this picture I am wearing a black velvet Turtle neck crop top that I found in the Sale Section of Urban Outfitters (£10 yes!) I was also wearing a Beige lace Maxi skirt with cute detailing that I got on nasty Gal for the outrageous price of £20 :O! but it was pretty so I bought it.

Right, I have to steel myself to go into school for a catch up music class at 9 in the morning. Waaa! why? On the bright side I'm going to a friend's house in the evening to have acute Audrey Hepburn evening with microwave pop corn so EEK!

P.S HAPPY EASTER!

I'm no picasso.

It has been sososo long since I last posted and I am sososo sorry about that but (same old excuse) school has been getting in the way of everything. I have a school concert that I'm meant to be performing for next week so that should be fun. oh, the irony!

But yeah, apart from school I ave been listening to loads of music and going to really cute vintage fairs and buying clothes and old film cameras XD I have quite the collection now. Not really, I have like 4, but I am so proud of my little 4. And 3 of them I can actually use! But film still costs loads and so does producing film which is highly annoying because I reeeeeaaalllly need to save for a DSLR. ugh. life huh.

so, I am using 8 tracks for the first time and making a playlist of all the music I have been listening to lately so err. here it is.

  1. wolf - First Aid kit
  2. Lightning bolt - Jake Bugg
  3. Another Love - Tom Odell
  4. NO ANGELS (ft Ella) - Bastille
  5. Polar Bear - King Charles
  6. For You - Angus & Julia Stone
  7. Keep your head up - Ben Howard
  8. #3 - Lewis Watson
  9. Midnight city - M83
  10. Home again - Michael Kiwanuka
  11. What would you do? (city high) - Bastille
  12. Almost Lover - A fine Frenzy
  13. Too Close - Alex Claire
  14. That man - Caro Emerald
  15. Where ever you will go - Charlene Soraia
  16. Arguing with thermometers - Enter Shikari
  17. Better of - Haim
  18. Black Dog - Lexy and the Kill
  19. Primadonna (acoustic) - Marina and the Diamonds
  20. Hard Road to Travel - Rachel K Collier
  21. Asleep - The Smiths

So as you can see, I am trying to upload lots of pictures of mysellf because you guys never ever see me, like ever. Which is totally my fault of course. Any way, I am plannign to put up wayyyy more picutres of myself up so be ready for this! I may even do an "outfit" post so that's exciting!

Right, I'm going to bed. I have school tomorrow.

Sad face

But I will see you soon!

First film development

So, as the title suggest's I got my first couple of film rolls back after shooting with my lovely Diana F+ (post about it here).

To actually get it developed was really expensive which is so very annoying but it was totally worth it. I got the prints developed at Photographique which was the right decision because the prints turned out brilliant (although as I said before verrrry expensive). I could only afford the low quality CD so they don't really look very good on the computer :S But yeah. here you go.

Bear in mind that I'm only starting out so I have a lot of room to improve. I also have a solution to fix the whole price issue; The lomography society are making this iphone processor thing so I will just buy that and hopefully it won't be too much :S

I'm going to be putting the best photo's on the Photography page as well :)

Painting

Okay, so I know I have been posting TONNE'S of inspiration recently but there it just one last bit of inspo I feel I need to share with you. So, recently I discovered a painter called Wen Wu who is just fantastic!

I genuinely don't think I can describe her art as well as she can so I am just going copy and paste her Bio which is beautifully written and so much better than anything I can come up with.

My life began in China, I have been training as a painter since the age of 7, over time I have built up a superb painting technique. As a passionate artist I am obsessed with beauty. I think oil painting is the best way for me to represent my ideas and discover myself.
.I am able to represent my unique sensitivity and aesthetic sense of beauty by carefully selecting
figurative imagery and particular thoughts from various histories and cultures. This is brought out in
the form of a number of series of paintings; each series is centred around a certain kind of human
relationship that exemplifies my notion of beauty and sensuality.
.
All the flesh and material in my paintings seems touchable, it is both inviting and enigmatic. The
beauty and sensuality are combined deep within the personality of the paintings. My love of beauty
motivates me to create my unique painting style with innovative composition, tasteful colour, and a
particular attention to the appearance of the beauty of the figures."

I don't have a favourite because they are all my favourite; I mean that I like them all for different reasons.

This is a really weird post but I'm in a weird mood, so yeah

A HUGE post.

So, omg. I am SOOOOO sorry I haven't been posting lately, I've been really busy with school and exams (which I finished this week :O) and just shizzz. So this is going to be a huge bundle post of everything I've been in love with lately. So, here goes;

Drew Barrymore. Well 90's Drew to be specific. But omg she is perf.

Especially this picture, SOOOO adorable! She is also a totes amazing fashion inspiration XD

Also I have become obsessed with Jake Bugg. I know I did a whole music post on him like aaaaggggeeesss ago but he is so gorgeous and his voice is so amaze-balls that I seriously can't help being obsessed with him.

AGGSHSHLDSKAJF.
His smile, is gorgeous. He really should do it more often.

I have also bought a hot glue gun, So I've been making loads of pretty things XD (and burning myself a lot!)

I have also been obsessing with this new TV show called My Mad fat Diary. It is totally amazing and so funny but really real at the same time :) So good. The plot is about and overweight Lincolnshire girl called Rae Earl and her struggle with life in 1989 basically. It's all based on the Diaries of Rachel Earl (which I am in the process of reading) so most of the events in the show actually happened :) Plus the some of the guys are really hott! ;)

SEE!

I have also just come back from watching Les Miserables which is absolutely phenomenal. I genuinely don't think I have cried so much in a film. (ad that's including Titanic!) The music was brilliant and all the singers was amazing. Although I really didn't like how they portrayed the opening. It didn't really grip me as much as the rest of the film did. But it was still amazing.

 God he's hot.

Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman were so amazing together. It was just so good. gahhh.

ummm yeah, I think that's it.

Music!

So, today's band is called Wild Belle

This band is an Indie Rock band made up of brother and sister (I seem to be really into duo, family  bands at the moment :S) Elliot and Natalie Bergman. Their sound is way groovy and seriously makes me think of the swinging sixties.

my mum says he looks like a chimp!

I think their image is just perfect so colourful and summery.

Omg, I have spent nights trying to figure out what this kid is saying. Please tell me if you figure it out!

They've only released one EP but it is so groovy, (I really like that word, grrroooooooovy), so yeah. you should totes check them out.
